The young teams of Manchester United continue to be a source of pride for the club, despite the fact that this season has been a disappointment for the club.

U18 Manchester United recently made nine substitutions, but they still managed to overcome Leeds United by a score of 4-0, so maintaining their perfect start to the current season with thirteen wins in a row. On the same day, a few hours later, the Under-21 squad also excelled with a significant victory over Norwich at Old Trafford.

This is something that Manchester United is well aware of, as they are aware that positive results are the consequence of hard work. To be more specific, the fact that 249 players have made their first appearance for the first team is the true measure of this academy’s accomplishment.

It was said by Nick Cox, the head of the Academy, that he was really anxious to find out who will be the next nominee. He might be Sam Mather, one of the most talented players in Manchester United’s Under-21 squad.

Two years ago, the outstanding player, who was only 19 years old at the time, was one of the main players that helped Manchester United win the FA Youth Cup. He scored two goals on the route to the championship game. Both Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, who were one of his teammates at the time, are currently performing exceptionally well for the first team. 

Mather’s ascension was slowed down by injury, but it appears that he is finally making up for the time that he missed. This man scored a hat trick in the first half of the match, which helped Manchester United U21 overcome Norwich 4-2 at Old Trafford. The hat trick was scored in just 15 minutes.
