The 1-1 draw this morning against Fulham was just enough for Liverpool to enter the Carabao Cup Final.
In the first leg, Liverpool defeated Fulham with a score of 2-1. This score makes Fulham still dream of a comeback when returning home.
In fact, the players in white shirts played very hard in the context that Liverpool had many disturbances in the starting lineup.
However, when Fulham’s efforts were not effective, they suddenly conceded.
From a familiar dribble from the right wing, Luis Diaz cut inside and fired a shot into the near corner. Even though goalkeeper Bernd Leno touched the ball, he could not prevent the goal from being scored.
After that, Diaz had another shot into Fulham’s net, but the goal was not recognized because a red shirt player had previously been in an offside position.
Overall, Liverpool was the more proactive team in this match, however, Fulham also missed two good opportunities.
It wasn’t until the 76th minute that Issa Diop equalized for Fulham. It was a very good shot from the home team player.
In the remaining time, Fulham did not have enough strength to score another goal.
Winning with a total score of 3-2, Liverpool entered the Carabao Cup final.
The opponent they will face in the final match is Chelsea, the team that just destroyed Boro with a score of 6-1.
