FIFA 14 was released more than a decade ago. Let’s take a look at 7 ‘wonderkids’ of Man United at that time, and see where they are now.

 

Andreas Pereira

The Brazilian attacking midfielder is highly rated in FIFA 14. Although he did not achieve high results at Old Trafford, he still made 75 appearances for the club.

Pereira played his best football when he left Old Trafford. He is currently a mainstay in Marco Silva’s Fulham team. Since moving to Craven Cottage for £10 million, the midfielder has contributed to 19 goals and is enjoying the best of London.

Andreas Pereira could not shine at MU as expected.

Adnan Januzaj

Fresh off his breakout season in 2013-14, Januzaj has received a lot of attention. He has very high potential, with an index of up to 87, equal to the rating that Wayne Rooney once received.

But things are not going well for the Belgian winger. Januzaj was a bright spot at Old Trafford when David Moyes was in office, but gradually lost his place under Louis van Gaal and then Jose Mourinho. After leaving England, Januzaj played well at Real Sociedad and is currently joining Sevilla.

Jesse Lingard

Lingard is also highly rated, and was once a pillar of Man United but has inexplicably declined. After leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer, the English star is still unemployed.

Angelo Henriquez

The Chilean striker was one of the last players signed by Sir Alex Ferguson. Despite excellent performances for the U21 team, Henriquez never had the chance to break into the first team.

It’s been 10 years and the striker is now playing in Russia for Baltika Kaliningrad. He has traveled everywhere since leaving Man United with 9 clubs in 8 different countries throughout his career.

Nick Powell

Without constant injuries, Powell’s career could have gone far. Although he was not successful at Man United, he impressed in the Championship.

The creative midfielder spent his best days with Wigan Athletic and Stoke City, where he made a total of 218 appearances. The 29-year-old is currently playing for Stockport County, who are currently flying high in League Two.

Wilfred Zaha

The move to Old Trafford seemed to come too soon for Zaha and not long after, he packed his bags and left Old Trafford. Zaha had a great time with Crystal Palace upon his return to the club, and leaves Palace in the summer of 2023 as their most talented ever player.

The 31-year-old is at Galatasaray and has struggled for consistency, but scored on his return to Old Trafford at the start of the season.

James Wilson

Red Devils fans have had high hopes for Wilson, especially after he scored a brace on his first team debut against Hull City. Despite some early signs of promise, Wilson left the club in 2019 after a spell on loan.

Wilson currently plays for League One side Port Vale and has scored four goals so far this season.
