Now the chief designer wants to see him take England to Euro 2024 glory in the summer.
Jude Bellingham helped create the latest version of the adidas Predator boots
The Predator 24 sees the return of the foldover tongue
The 20-year-old Bellingham has been with adidas since making his debut at Birmingham and is currently showcasing his skills on the biggest platform of all—Real Madrid’s Bernabeu.
Additionally, he contributed to the creation of the most recent version of the well-known Predator, which debuted in stores and on pitches in 1994, making sure it met all of his specifications.
“We work very closely with an amazing group of pro players who are involved in the feedback from early testing prototypes and adjustments,” said Sam Handy, head of product for adidas football, to SunSport.
“Jude’s initial reactions when we placed the boot in front of him were heard when we worked with him on this Predator.
He has played a significant role in our performance-based boot development.
For upcoming generations, we are carefully collaborating with him to create follow-up colorways and special versions for Jude that are built with his input in mind. He is deeply ingrained in the process of our creation. He is a valued brand partner.
After a two and a half year development process, the new Predator 24 was finally released today. It has the classic black, white, and red color scheme with a pop of fluorescent yellow to make the boots pop on TV.
For the first time since 2002, the classic foldover tongue is also making a comeback, and Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold, the newest adidas recruit, will have first access to them.
Though the tongue is technically an archival detail, Handy continued, “so many players said, ‘Please bring back the foldover tongue.'” It’s a really famous detail.
It functions. It provides control over the ball. Pro players from Generation Z have been requesting the tongue for performance reasons, and when combined with the nostalgia, it was impossible to resist the urge to play Predator 24.
The sheer volume of gamers who have switched on to this version so fast indicates that it’s the best Predator in thirty years.
“Normally, it takes us some time to acclimate players to a new boot, but because they all fell in love with it, we’ve been actively trying to stop them from coming too early in this case.”
Bellingham moved from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid for £115 million, and he has subsequently embraced the move.
His 17 goals in 24 games are more than even the extraordinary talent himself could have imagined.
His trophy cabinet is already packed with trophies, including Bundesliga player of the season, the Kopa Trophy, Golden Boy, DFB-Pokal, and now the Supercopa de Espana. He has also piled up 27 senior England games, scoring at the World Cup when he was just 19.
“Jude is going to be Jude,” Handy continued. Jude will be unlike any player we have ever had in our history, even if they have all been extremely significant to us.

“Looking at what Jude represents to a whole new generation of players and what he has been doing at Real, Jude’s very, very special.
“He’s the perfect Predator player. Predator has always been about goals and Jude is very much about goals. There’s also the swagger, the flair, the confidence, the way you play. He represents that. It’s a joy to watch him play.
“We definitely see lots of people, both players and consumers, looking up to Jude. What he is doing at the moment is very special. He is clearly one of the very, very top players in the world.
“Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world so seeing Jude playing there is absolutely the perfect combination.”
The Predator is one of the best-selling football boots of all time, with 21 different styles over the past 30 years, and remains popular with players from the Premier League to Sunday league.
Zinedine Zidane’s Champions League volley, Paul Gascoigne’s wondergoal against Scotland at Euro 96 and that David Beckham free-kick against Greece were all scored in Preds.
And Handy is desperate to see another special strike in the Predator 24 this year.
He concluded: “If I could magic these things up, it would be Jude scoring the winning goal of Euro 2024 for England with a banging, iconic, Predator free-kick.”
