Bronny James’ incredible return to the basketball floor is one of sports’ most unbelievable stories. On Saturday night, less than six months after suffering a heart arrest during practice, the freshman guard got his first NCAA start for the USC Trojans.

The Trojans were defeated 68-58 by the Colorado Buffaloes, and James’ performance was far from stellar. In the Pac-12 conference game, the 19-year-old true freshman shot 0-7 from the field, finishing with zero points and two rebounds.

However, that does not diminish the significance of his achievement or the fact that he utilized the occasion to pay tribute to his father, LeBron James, by donning the Los Angeles Lakers forward’s newest signature sneakers in a player-exclusive colorway.

Bronny was dressed in an outstanding ‘USC Trojans’ colorway of the Nike LeBron 21. The basketball shoe has an off-white upper, a white midsole, gold laces, and a cardinal outsole. The collaboration between USC and Nike added the finishing touches to an already famous colorway. 

Unfortunately, the ‘USC Trojans’ colorway will not be available to the general public. On the Nike website, however, online consumers may select from a variety of new and throwback sneakers from the Nike LeBron trademark collection.

The Nike LeBron 21 was revealed to the globe in September 2023. The performance basketball shoe was inspired by LeBron’s daughter, Zhuri James, and was meant to serve the future generation of hoopers. The low-cut silhouette features quality lightweight materials that are inspired by the qualities of an oyster shell.
