Up until Brahim Diaz cracked things open in the second half, the game was boring. He helped Real Madrid defeat Arandina in the Copa del Rey by scoring the game-winning goal in just five minutes. After being mostly quiet in the first half, the Spanish player gained a penalty, which Joselu converted, and then he scored a fantastic goal to help Madrid win 3-1 with ease.

Arda Guler, who was making his debut, appeared to be Madrid’s greatest scoring danger early on. After the 18-year-old Turk made a fantastic stop, Adrián Alvarez fired a free kick off the post. Joselu also had a nice opportunity, but the side net caught his shot from a tight angle.

But after the break, Los Blancos came back to life. Joselu scored the first goal by putting a spot kick into the bottom corner. The second goal was scored by Diaz, who hit it into the corner from the edge of the box. Rodrygo scored a third goal late in the game, with help from Diaz.

Arandina wasn’t just watching this. In front of only 10,000 people, the home team tried to attack on the break, but they never got a clear chance. Their only goal, which was a bad one because Nacho put the ball in his net, was well-earned.

Even though Madrid had to work hard for this win, they earned it and deserve to be in the last 16 as they try to protect their Spanish Cup.
