OFFICIAL: Van de Beek joins Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with option to buy, potentially playing final match for Man Utd

Donkey Van De Beek has gone on loan from Manchester United.

Donny van de Beek has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the rest of the season

Another possibility was that he would have played his final game for the Red Devils.

The loan that Van de Beek, who is 26 years old, had with Eintracht Frankfurt was terminated after he had signed it for a period of twelve hours.

If the Bundesliga team so chooses, they will be able to make the agreement official at the conclusion of the current season.

The Dutchman will wear the No25 for the Bundesliga side

The cost is estimated to be somewhere around £9.5 million, but if there are additional provisions, it may go up to £12 million.

In addition, United would incur a loss of around thirty million pounds on the player that they purchased from Ajax in the year 2020 for forty million pounds.

The No. 25 shirt was the one that Van de Beek decided to wear while he was at Deutsche Bank Park.

The midfielder completed his switch just hours after the transfer window opened

It is his goal that he will be able to assist his new team in qualifying for the Champions League. He will be playing alongside Mario Gotze, who will be the winner of the World Cup.

Although they are currently in sixth place in the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt is nine points behind RB Leipzig, who are currently in fourth place.

Over the course of the first half of the season, Van de Beek appeared for United on only two occasions.

Strong form could see a permanent deal done in the summer

In September, he participated in the Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace, which resulted in a victory for his team. After that, he was only given two minutes of playing time in the Premier League match against the same team four days later.

Ten Hag was a significant contributor to Ajax’s advancement to the semifinals of the Champions League in 2019. Despite this, the manager did not include him in any of United’s six matchday teams for the 2023 group stages, which resulted in United finishing bottom and being ousted from the competition.

Over the course of four seasons at Old Trafford, Van de Beek has appeared for the Red Devils 62 times and has scored two goals from those appearances.

Because he doesn’t get enough game time or isn’t in good shape, he hasn’t added to his 19 caps for the Netherlands since 2021.

He could get back into Ronald Koeman’s team before Euro 2024, though, if he does well on loan at Eintracht. The Dutch will play France, Austria, and the winner of the play-offs in Group D.

The German club might also want to get Van de Beek by exercising their right to buy him in the summer.

Next season will be the last year of his deal with the Red Devils, so they will be looking to get rid of him.
