Nikola Jokic’s Historic Performance Highlights with a Record in Denver Nuggets’ Dominance

Denver Nuggets’ star Nikola Jokic continues to etch his name in NBA history with remarkable performances, and he added another chapter on Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. 

In the first half, Jokic achieved an extraordinary stat line of 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 block while shooting a perfect 100%. This accomplishment places him alongside himself and Pau Gasol as the only players in NBA history to achieve such a half, as per Basketball Reference’s StatHead.

Jokic, known for his unique combination of production and efficiency, has previously accomplished this feat twice in his career. The only other occurrence was by Pau Gasol in 2017. The historic night didn’t conclude with the first half for Jokic. 

He went on to finish the game with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, maintaining a flawless 11/11 shooting from the field. This remarkable line puts him in elite company, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only player in NBA history with a triple-double or better on 100% shooting, according to StatHead.

Jokic’s consistent efficiency sets him apart in the league, and despite occasional off nights, he often showcases a high level of effectiveness, as evident in this game. Although Memphis missed the services of Ja Morant due to illness, Jokic’s stellar performance highlighted Denver’s dominance, securing a star power advantage from the outset.
