Anthony Davis explains why he, LeBron James have so much trust in Austin Reaves

When the game is on the line, LeBron James is one of the few NBA players in history who has ever made you desire the ball in their hands more than any other participant in the league’s history. This year, he has been reminding everyone that he will almost always make the appropriate play and create a good shot. He has also been doing this throughout the entire season.

Furthermore, he is not above taking control of a game, particularly a significant one, later than is required in order to prevent other people from influencing the outcome of the activity.

At the very least, this helps to explain why LeBron James has such a lack of inhibition when he gives in to Austin Reaves in the last minutes of games that are extremely important. The fact that the Lakers players had faith in him was demonstrated once again by the situation that occurred on Tuesday, even if it was not the first time it had happened. The third-year guard has been the recipient of the most possessions in the game’s final minutes on multiple occasions.

It’s Austin here. Anthony Davis made the following statement following the victory on Tuesday: “He’s done it.” Significant plays and shots have been consistently produced by him for our team. When it comes to handling the ball, we have faith in him.Simply put, we have a tremendous deal of faith in him, what he is capable of doing for our club, and his ability to score points and draw fouls anytime he wants to achieve his goals. Regardless of whether it is late in the game, in the middle of the game, or early in the game, we believe that we can go to him at any time and he will be able to make a play.

As is the case with LeBron James, Reaves is a player who is able to recognize when it is appropriate to make a play in a certain situation. This is something that LeBron learnt a very long time ago, which increased his willingness to submit to him in that particular circumstance.

During the opening game of the playoffs, which took place in Memphis, two key examples of LeBron James’s faith in Reaves and the moment Austin referenced having transformed the dynamic between the two players on the court occurred. The fact that LeBron, who has always been perceptive, observed the effort that Reaves had put in and anticipated that it would pay off, just like Reaves had done, could have been the reason.

The statement that he made was, “I just trust the work that I put in and by myself.” As I turned around to see, I noticed that Bron was pointing at me. When the ball was in the possession of AD, he handed it to me and set up a ball screen. There was nothing else that could be done except to go make a play. I was successful in making the shot, so we are happy to go home.

Despite the fact that the game that took place on Tuesday was not technically a playoff game, it had the aura of a playoff game, and it was also not your usual regular season contest. Right now, there is not a single game or circumstance in which LeBron James and Anthony Davis would not put their faith in Reaves to have the ball in the crucial moments of the game.

Fortunately, Reaves continues to provide evidence that their belief is correct and that he is, in fact, Him.
