In a similar vein, LeBron reiterated these aspirations in a 2022 Sports Illustrated feature, expressing, “I put it in the air because I like to talk to the basketball gods out there and see if things can come to fruition. I’ve always set out goals in my career, talked to the basketball gods, and they’ve listened to all of them. Hopefully, they can listen to this last one, too.” Accompanying their father, Bronny and Bryce adorned the cover of the issue with the tagline “Chosen Sons,” echoing LeBron’s iconic 2002 Sports Illustrated proclamation as “The Chosen One.”

19-year-old LeBron “Bronny” James Jr.

LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., LeBron and Savannah’s first child, was born on October 6, 2004. Bronny started playing basketball as a toddler and might make his NBA debut as soon as the 2024-2025 season.

Bronny has achieved a great deal of success on his own. In 2019, he led his high school, Sierra Canyon School, to a valiant victory over his father’s old mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, in Akron, Ohio. He appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in July 2021 at the age of 16 – six months younger than his father was for his own cover in 2002.

LeBron has stated that he will do “whatever it takes” to play alongside his oldest kid in his final year of professional basketball. “My last year will be played with my son,” he told The Athletic in February 2022. Wherever Bronny is, I’ll be as well. I would go to any length to spend a year playing with my son. At that moment, it’s not about the money.”

Bronny earned an endorsement deal with Nike a few days after turning 18 in October 2022, which LeBron honored on Instagram with a side-by-side photo and video of him and his son on the basketball court. “The Legacy Continues!!” wrote the delighted father, who has been a Nike athlete since the beginning of his pro career, in the Instagram description. Congratulations, Young King!”

Bronny’s mother, father, and siblings cheered him on at his high school senior night game on January 11, 2023, with his younger brother Bryce also playing. Following the game, the entire family stood for photos on the court.

Bronny was picked as one of 24 high school students for the 46th annual McDonald’s All American Game later that month. Playing in the important game is a big honor for anyone, but especially for Bronny because it allows him to follow in the footsteps of his father, who made the team in 2003.

LeBron congratulated his son’s achievement by posting an Instagram screenshot of the roster.

“Ayyyyyyyeeeeee @bronny!!!!!! Son, congratulations! “So damn proud of you!” he captioned the photo. “Be you through it all, no matter what!!” You truly are AMAZING!!!”

Soon after, Bronny committed to the University of Southern California (USC) to begin his college basketball career. In a May 2023 Instagram post, the young athlete confirmed his decision by sharing a snapshot of himself in the Trojans’ locker room.

“Fight On #committed,” he captioned the photo.

Bronny experienced a heart arrest after an exercise at USC in July 2023. The next day, a spokesman for the James family issued a statement saying, “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and transport him to the hospital.” He is presently stable and no longer in the intensive care unit.”

LeBron later that week provided an update on Bronny’s condition.

“Everyone is doing great,” he tweeted. “Our family is safe and healthy, and we can feel your love.” We’ll have more to say when we’re ready, but I just wanted to thank everyone for their support! #JamesGang.”

Within a week, Bronny was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. A spokeswoman for the James family stated the following month that they were “very confident in Bronny’s full recovery.”

Bryce Maximus James, 16 years old

Sixteen-year-old Bryce Maximus James, born on June 14, 2007, entered the world in the midst of the intense 2007 NBA Finals, where LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were battling the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron and Savannah, brimming with joy at Bryce’s arrival, eagerly anticipated bringing him home to his elder sibling, LeBron Jr., as conveyed by a representative for the family to PEOPLE.

Celebrating Bryce’s 10th birthday in 2017, LeBron James showcased his paternal pride in a heartwarming Instagram video. The clip featured LeBron singing “Happy Birthday” to his son, accompanied by a caption expressing disbelief at Bryce’s rapid growth. LeBron affectionately noted, “Happy Bday Bryce Maximus!! Can’t believe you’re 10 years old man. Time is seriously flying. Love you Young and u make me proud to be your father every single day!! #ZhuriLikeThatsMyCakeToo .”

In 2021, Bryce marked a significant milestone by graduating from middle school. Following in the athletic footsteps of his father and older brother, LeBron Jr., Bryce has embraced basketball as his passion. His Instagram account occasionally showcases snapshots from his school games, providing glimpses into his skills on the court.

The basketball legacy continues as Bryce James received a noteworthy accolade in August 2022—a Division I scholarship offer from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The scholarship solidifies Bryce’s position as a promising talent in the basketball arena, adding another chapter to the James family’s storied sports journey. Keep an eye on this young athlete as he charts his course in the world of basketball.

Zhuri Nova James, 9 years old: A Fashion-Forward Princess with a Star-Studded Presence

Zhuri Nova James, the youngest member of LeBron and Savannah James’ brood, has already made her mark on the world. Born on October 22, 2014, a year after her parents’ nuptials, Zhuri brings a unique flair to the James family.

Zhuri’s fashion sense came to the forefront at the age of 5 when she played a pivotal role in launching the Janie and Jack x Harlem’s Fashion Row clothing collection in 2020. Expressing her excitement to PEOPLE, Zhuri shared, “I’m most excited about the fashion and talking to the designers,” highlighting her early affinity for style. She even mentioned practicing with her mom in preparation for the event, showcasing a budding interest in the fashion world.

LeBron James, known for showering Zhuri with lavish gifts, demonstrated his affection in October 2020 by unveiling a playhouse modeled after their family home ahead of Zhuri’s birthday. Sharing the heartfelt moment on Instagram, LeBron captioned the video, “Early bday gift my princess!!!!! Love you baby Z.”

In July 2021, Zhuri graced the purple carpet alongside her parents at the premiere of her father’s movie, “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The trio radiated joy, showcasing a united front before the highly anticipated event.

Come October 2022, LeBron celebrated Zhuri’s 8th birthday with a touching tribute on Instagram. The carousel post featured a photo of the father-daughter duo donning matching beige overalls and a snapshot of one of LeBron’s tattoos depicting Zhuri as a baby.

The caption read, “Happy Birthday my beautiful Princess of the Kingdom @allthingszhuri!! Daddy’s Lil Girl ️!! I love you, love you love you love you love you!!
