Liverpool star Mohamed Salah risks Muslim fan reaction after uploading a Christmas tree picture, a year after he and his wife were criticized for a similar post

Muslim supporters slammed Mohamed Salah’s Christmas greeting on social media.

Muslim Salah tweeted a Christmas tree shot and captioned it with a message regarding the Israel-Palestine cоnflict before wishing his followers a ‘Merry Christmas’. 

Although Muslims do not celebrate Christmas, some do.

Fans criticized Salah on social media last year for posing in identical pajamas with his wife Magi and children Makka and Kayan in front of a Christmas tree.

His typical Christmas message has drawn Muslim fan criticism again.

Salah posted on the Israel-Palestine issue before wishing his fans a Merry Christmas.

One supporter called Salah ’embarrassing to the Muslim world’ and another ‘disappointed’. 

“This is so uncouth Salah, you are Muslim not Christian,” another fan said. Our Christmas is April—shame on you brother.

A supposed Arsenal fan wrote: ‘Mo Salah, I liked you as an Arsenal fan. You were a great player and encouraged me.

However, this tweet disqualifies you as my role model. You disappointed me. Please remove this tweet or I’ll unfollow you. 

”As Muslims, we shouldn’t judge and supported Mo. But everyone loves judging Salah over Christmas. Maybe we’re all flawed. Free Palestine.’

Another tweeted: ‘This is a beautiful message and a lesson to think about innocent people. Much Love Mo. 

Along with the Christmas tree photo, Salah wrote: ‘Christmas is a time for families to enjoy. 

With the cruel cоnflict in the Middle East, particularly the murԀer and devastation in Gaza, we approach Christmas with sad hearts and feel the anguish of those families who have lost loved ones.
