Darwin Nunez, a star player for Liverpool, makes his teammates laugh during a Christmas-themed Carry Karaoke.
Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, and even Santa Claus were with Nunez, 24, as they drove around Liverpool sharing Christmas cheer.
As seen on the club’s official YouTube account, the three gave out gifts, talked to fans, and signed a lot of autographs.
During the trip, there were games, Christmas crackers, and even singing, with a performance of “Holidays are Coming,” a song that is often used in the Coca-Cola Christmas ad.
But while Gakpo, Jones, and Santa Claus were singing the well-known song, Nunez quickly added, “You’ll never walk alone.”
Darwin Nunez’s Scouse voice made Cody Gakpo and Curtis Jones laugh out loud, which made them laugh with him.
Along with Santa, the three got into the holiday mood by driving around Liverpool and giving fans gifts.
When he was given a pair of fake “Turkey teeth” to put in, the Liverpool forward made his teammates laugh out loud.
“This is a gift for Darwin to make him feel the part.” They said, “Because you’re not a real Scouser unless you’ve got some Turkey teeth.” The host was dressed as Santa Claus.
Following a big smile, Nunez showed off his new teeth and asked in a Scouse accent, “How are we?”
It was his Scouse voice that made Jones and Gakpo laugh out loud. It still needs some work.
Nunez was also quick to tell Liverpool fans what his favorite Christmas movie was. A lot of people might be shocked that he chose the Grinch!
Fans were shocked when the Liverpool stars went to different homes across the city to give gifts and spread Christmas cheer.
In the last few minutes of the Christmas Carpool, they even had time to go to the nearby McDonald’s and try to get free food.
Nunez has been having a tough time scoring lately after getting off to a great start this season. He will be hoping for some good luck over the holidays.
They stopped by a number of fans across the city to talk, take pictures, and sign autographs.
Nunez has been out of sorts lately, but Lijnders, who works with Jurgen Klopp, has supported him.
His last goal was in a Carabao Cup game at Bournemouth on November 1, 2010, which was 10 games ago. He has scored seven goals for Liverpool this season.
Pep Lijnders, who works with Jurgen Klopp, has supported the forward who isn’t playing well, though.
The Dutch coach said before Liverpool’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal match with West Ham, “Darwin is full of desire, you see that in every game.” It would not be fair to judge teams based only on goals scored.
“For example, I think there is a good link between Mo Salah and Darwin. The way they see each other, they help each other.” I also think Darwin is having a much better season than they did last year.
I like how he protects the team, holds the middle, and applies the press at the same time. I also like how he goes, chases back, and does his counter-press. He’s very helpful when we’re stuck, and we can use him as a guide while we play, which makes him even better.
“He is learning.” Our crowd likes guys like this who are full of fire. That’s also what we need—to lead the way in this way. It’s good that he can only get better. Everyone in our group has a great friendship with him, not just me. He knows we trust him.
