After the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a defeat against the Boston Celtics at Crypto.com Arena, LeBron James provided an update on the status of his knee following a collision with Jaylen Brown during the game.

The incident occurred at the 4:02 mark of the second quarter when LeBron’s knee collided with Jaylen Brown’s back. Lakers fans anxiously awaited news as LeBron stayed down for a few minutes. However, to their relief, he was able to walk to the Lakers’ bench and eventually re-enter the game after sitting out for a few possessions.

LeBron shared insights on the condition of his knee, stating, “My knee is a little sore right now.” He expressed gratitude that the schedule is favorable for the Lakers with two days before their next game. LeBron acknowledged the collision as a “freak thing” but highlighted that he was able to walk off the court under his own power.

“The best thing — finally, the schedule is kind of in our favor with two days before we have to play again. Just a freak thing right there between me and Jaylen Brown. Happy I was able to walk off on my own power, but definitely a little sore right now.”

With a day off scheduled for the Lakers tomorrow, followed by a practice on Wednesday, LeBron is optimistic about the recovery process before their next matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday.

LeBron James appeared a bit off his game even before the collision, struggling with layups in the first quarter and facing challenges converting inside against the Celtics’ physical defense. Despite finishing the game with 16 points on 5-for-14 shooting, LeBron contributed nine rebounds and eight assists in 37 minutes of play.
