LeBron James & Anthony Davis Enjoyed Raising In-Season Tournament Banner

There were rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers would decide to hoist a banner to honor their achievement after LeBron James and Anthony Davis guided them to the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament Championship.

It was unclear where the In-Season Tournament stood in relation to something like a division or conference championship because the Lakers only display banners to commemorate NBA Championships. In the end, the team did, of course, decide to recognize it with a banner, although this one was unique from the Lakers’ typical championship banners.

LeBron thinks it was a nice move for the Lakers to celebrate the In-Season Tournament Championship banner, which was unveiled prior to the team’s Monday night game against the New York Knicks.

Following the competition, James declared, “I think it’s awesome.” “I think it’s pretty cool to be able to recognize victories throughout the marathon,” the participant said.

“We were fortunate to win it during its inaugural inauguration, so our supporters who were unable to attend in Vegas now have the chance to virtually join us in celebrating and reliving that special moment this evening. This is something that will undoubtedly endure forever, thus it was a positive occasion.

Davis dominated the actual title game, but James was also the first-ever MVP of the In-Season Tournament. The big man also took pleasure in the banner being raised, just like his Lakers teammate.

Indeed, Davis said, “I think it’s a cool thing.” Naturally, I was just discussing it the other day when I mentioned that it needs to be a constant now. It can’t end after three or four years because, at this point, everything is like, “Okay, we got a banner for what?” Thus, it seems cool to me.

If this is something that will last for years to come, then great. If other teams succeed, I believe they might also carry on this tradition. As the first victors, I thought it was awesome to have that banner flown.

The banner that the Lakers designed will be unique and able to accommodate more potential In-Season Tournament titles. There won’t be several banners for every victory the Lakers achieve.

Additionally, the Lakers will have plenty of chances to build on their historic victory as long as LeBron and Davis are wearing purple and gold.

Austin Reaves of the Lakers appreciated hoisting the In-Season Tournament banner, but his main goal was the NBA Championship.

Guard Austin Reaves was another who relished lifting the In-Season Tournament banner, but he hasn’t had the happiness of winning an NBA Championship with James and Davis yet. And now that the competition is over, Reaves is concentrating on hoisting another banner.

Regarding the banner, Reaves remarked, “Yeah, I mean, it’s the first one, and it was cool.” Being a part of the victory and the entire transaction was awesome. However, that is now in the past, and we must concentrate on the current season and attempt to hang another one at the end of the year.
