James responded with 25 points in 39 minutes, missing 13 of his 23 shots, as Los Angeles’ attempt to make a comeback was unsuccessful in front of a large number of former players and celebrities, most notably Stephon Marbury and Ron Artest. James is the oldest active player in the National Basketball Association.

As was only fitting, the triumph for New York was cemented when James missed a three-point shot with forty seconds remaining, which resulted in Randle’s breakaway jam on the other end of the court.

As a result of the victory, the Knicks (15-11) were able to complete a good road trip, during which they went 2-2 while competing in a short tour of the Western Conference.

Even though Taj Gibson was playing well as the backup, Tom Thibodeau still had to turn to him for six minutes. Isaiah Hartenstein had 17 rebounds in 39 minutes of play when he was on the court.
