Rui Hachimura Expects To Wear Face Mask At Least 4 More Weeks

The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to overcome their lack of depth in their rematch with the San Antonio Spurs, and their three-game Texas road trip came to an end with a loss.

The Lakers’ performance was embarrassing, as they fell behind early and never recovered. Los Angeles made it a two-possession game on several occasions, but San Antonio responded each time to keep them at bay.

Without Anthony Davis, who had dominated the Spurs just two days prior, the Lakers struggled mightily on both ends of the floor. Los Angeles lost its biggest advantage against San Antonio without Davis and couldn’t make up the difference.

Rui Hachimura was the lone bright spot, scoring 20 points off the bench on 8-of-15 shooting. Hachimura appears to be regaining his rhythm after missing time due to a nasal fracture, though he will still be required to wear his face mask for at least the next month.

Hachimura suffered a nasal fracture after being hit in the face during the team’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks, and he is required to wear the mask as a precaution. Numerous players in league history have worn masks during games, so no one can blame Hachimura for wanting to get rid of it.

Although it hasn’t had much of an impact on his play, fans can understand Hachimura’s desire to avoid playing with something that makes him uncomfortable. Fortunately, it won’t be long before Hachimura can resume playing without a mask.

Rui Hachimura is ecstatic. Shohei Ohtani has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Shohei Ohtani announced his signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a record-breaking 10-year, $700 million contract a few days ago. The news sent shockwaves through MLB and even sparked interest in other professional sports.
