The beginning of the USC basketball season is on November 9, although it is currently unknown whether or not Bronny will be available for the season.
The first photographs that showed the basketball prince wearing his college jersey showed Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA legend LeBron James, looking ready for combat. Bronny James represented the James family.
It was on the official Instagram account of USC Basketball that the first image of Bronny, who is 18 years old, was released. He was wearing his first red-and-gold uniform for the Trojans.
Bronny was shown in the photographs wearing his No. 6 jersey in front of a blazing backdrop. According to the university, these photographs will be included in a movie that will be used to introduce the team for the upcoming season.
When LeBron James, then 38 years old, was playing for the Miami Heat in 2010, he wore the same number as Bronny. However, when he returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014, he reverted back to wearing the number 23, which he had previously worn.
For the purpose of the team’s video shoot, additional photographs that were published by the team show Bronny’s teammates from the University of Southern California, including top prospects Kobe Johnson and Brandon Gardner, striking poses in front of Los Angeles-inspired imagery that depicts palm trees and the skyline of the city.
In the first game of the season, which will take place on November 9 at Galen Center, the USC Basketball team will play host to Cal State Bakersfield.
It is currently unknown whether or not Bronny will be able to participate in the upcoming season for the Trojans. The former Sierra Canyon standout is currently recuperating after being diagnosed with “an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect” in August.
When Bronny went into cardiac arrest while working out at the university in July, she was admitted to the hospital for two days. The prognosis was provided after she spent those two days there.
“After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chukumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic led by Dr. Michael J. Ackerman and Atlantic Health/Morristown Medical Center led by Dr. Matthew W. Martinez, the probable cause of Mr. James’ sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) has been identified,” a statement from the James family said, explaining that he had a “significant congenital heart defect” that he underwent surgery for last month.
In an interview with ESPN, USC Basketball head coach Andy Enfield stated that Bronny did not take part in the team’s first practice of the season, which took place on September 23.
In addition, Coach Enfield stated, “Bronny is doing very well, but we simply are unable to comment on anything for medical reasons.” The fact that he is attending school and performing exceptionally well in his studies is something that we are incredibly happy about.
In May, LeBron James referred to the day that his kid made his commitment to play basketball for the University of Southern California as “one of the best days of my life.”
To begin, I would want to offer my congratulations to Bronny on the decision that he has taken. The statement was made by LeBron James on Spectrum SportsNet at the time. “I am extremely proud of him, and our family is proud of him.” “For me personally, it is much more meaningful to me because it is the first time that someone from outside of my family has gone to college. One thing is certain: I did not attend college.
“It’s just a proud moment to see my son go to college, and he’s the first one in my family to go to college,” he continued. “It’s a moment that I will never forget.” He came to the conclusion that he was “super duper proud, super emotional, but just super duper excited and happy for his journey as well.”
In a statement that was made public on Saturday, Bronny James’s younger brother Bryce James disclosed that he had been extended an invitation to play basketball at Ohio State University in Columbus. This university is located only 125 miles away from Akron, where his father was born and reared.
In addition to a picture of the Ohio State Buckeyes emblem, the young person posted on X the following message: “Blessed to receive an offer from Ohio State #GoBuckeyes.”
ESPN reports that Bryce received his offer on the same day that he made an unofficial visit to the Ohio State campus. During his visit, he witnessed the Ohio State football team defeat the Terrapins of the University of Maryland, College Park, by a score of 37-17.
Currently, Bryce, who is a junior at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, is regarded as a four-star prospect by ESPN. He has averaged 7.6 points per game while competing in the Nike EYBL 16U circuit during the spring and summer months.
