During the game on Thursday, Klay Thompson cemented his place in NBA history.

The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers competed against one another in a game that took place on Thursday evening.    

Through a score of 121-113, the Warriors were defeated in the game.   

Klay Thompson, a five-time NBA All-Star, had a fantastic game despite the fact that his team was defeated. He finished with thirty points, one rebound, five assists, and two steals, while shooting nineteen points percent from the field and eighteen points from beyond the arc in the thirty-two minutes that he was on the court. 

In addition, Thompson made NBA history by becoming the 167th player in the league’s history to score 14,500 points in his career during the game. 

Additionally, Thompson moved up to 165th place on the all-time scoring list, surpassing both Blake Griffin (14,513) and Bill Russell (14,522) during this time period. 

In the 22 games that Thompson had played prior to this clash, he had averaged 15.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Additionally, he had shot 39.7% from the field and 34.3% from beyond the arc. 

This was perhaps his best game of the 2023-24 NBA season, despite the fact that he has had a difficult time. 

As a result of the defeat, the Warriors’ record in their first 24 games is now 10-14, which places them in the eleventh seed position in the Western Conference tournament. 

At this point, they are in the midst of a losing skid that spans three games, and they have a record of 5-8 in the thirteen games that they have played away from the Chase Center. 

The Warriors will return to their home court on Saturday evening to play host to the Brooklyn Nets, following their game against the Clippers. 

The Warriors have a record of 5-6 in 11 games played at home. Thompson is currently in his eleventh season of playing in the league, all of which have been spent with the Warriors. He has been a part of the Warriors’ success in winning four NBA Championships.  

Over the course of his career, he has averaged 19.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, while posting a field goal percentage of 45.4% and a three-point percentage of 41.4%.
