LeBron James-Backed Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal Hits Selfridges Shelves

Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal, the ultra-premium agave spirits brand with basketball icon LeBron James as a backer, is now available at Selfridges department stores. LeBron James invested in the brand in 2020 through Main Street Advisors’ (MSA) group, and it initially launched in the US that same year. The brand expanded to Canada in 2022 and entered the Dubai market earlier this year.

The Lobos 1707 lineup, featuring reposado, joven, and extra añejo expressions, will be retailed at £70 (US$88), £65 (US$81), and £180 (US$225), respectively.

Made with 100% Blue Weber agave, Lobos 1707 is harvested, distilled, and bottled in Jalisco, Mexico. The liquid undergoes aging in American white oak barrels and is finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrels.

LeBron James expressed his excitement about the brand’s global growth, stating, “It’s exciting to see our pack continue to grow as we expand our footprint around the world. We can’t wait for people in the UK and all over to taste our best-in-class liquid.”

Lobos 1707 Extra Añejo Tequila received a Master award at The Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2022, while its reposado Tequila and Mezcal Artesanal both earned Gold honors.
