Stephen Curry was on fire to help the Golden State Warriors “burn down” the Denver Nuggets

Game 2 in the Western Playoffs round 1 series between the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets really took place with an interesting scenario. The team that owns reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has done everything to take away the home field advantage that belongs to the Warriors. However, the excellence of the whole team under coach Steve Kerr or most especially Stephen Curry helped them win a glorious 126-106 victory.

Stephen Curry and his teammates sing a triumphant song

The match opened with dominance from Denver Nuggets players. The team from the mining land understands that if they let themselves fall into a position of being two matches behind, they will be one step out of the Playoffs this season. That’s why the students under head coach Mike Malone really fought hard as soon as the ball was kicked at Chase Center. The most prominent person is none other than Nikola Jokic.

The Serbian striker really shone brightly right from the first round. With 10 minutes on the field here, the reigning MVP brought the away team 12 points and 6 extremely strong rebounds. He ended the match with a double double of 26 points and 11 rebounds despite facing countless blocks from the entire strength of the home defense. However, one swallow does not make spring.

Nikola Jokic tried hard but couldn’t change the outcome

After nearly the first half of the match, the opponent defeated them with a gap of 12 points. The army on the Gulf coast began to regroup and organize a counterattack. The first person to lead this comeback was none other than Stephen Curry. The baby-faced shooter, even though he only played 6 minutes in the second half, was able to successfully score up to 11 points. Everything in the second half of the match gave the home crowd an even bigger celebration.

Coming back from injury, the Golden State Warriors coaching staff is extremely careful in using superstar Stephen Curry. That’s why coach Steve Kerr decided to only use him as a strategic reserve. However, that does not mean that “Chief Chef” becomes less effective. The star wearing shirt number 30 is even like a tiger with wings when he only has to face the opponent’s secondary team much of the time. He was the torchbearer who helped the hosts burn down their opponents in the second half of the match.

The already fragile defense of the Denver Nuggets has now become a shooting target for Warriors players. They could only endure the stormy attacks from the home team. It’s not difficult to understand why the Nuggets completely let go in the second half of the match. The mining collective really needs to put in 200% more effort every day returning home.
