The Trojans were defeated 84-79 in overtime by the Beach in the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

Regardless of the result, the game was already a triumph for the James family the moment Bronny stepped onto the court.

After having a heart arrest in July, the 19-year-old made a victorious return to the court.

Following Bronny’s debut, the Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA In-Season Tournament MVP went into dad mode to express his pride.

The patriarch of the James family, who sat courtside for the competition, posted a message to his son on Instagram.

“Can’t even tell y’all how EMOTIONAL today was for me! I’m literally drained and all I can say is @Bronny you’re simply INCREDIBLE!! Damn the wins and loses [sic] that will occur. You’ve already won the ultimate goal/championship and that’s LIFE!!! Proud of you kid and today you’ve given me more life! Thank you and I love you,” said LeBron.

The celebration of Bronny’s first basket while wearing a USC uniform, which was a three-pointer from the right wing, was another moment in which LeBron James displayed his pride.

During the overtime loss that USC suffered, Bronny finished with four points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.

The fact that Bronny was able to play off the bench for the Trojans for a total of 17 minutes without suffering any injuries is maybe the most significant statistic.
