Rio Ferdinand celebrated his stag do in Barcelona over the weekend with a football team’s worth of friends, but his wife-to-be Kate Wright was never far behind.

As his wedding to 28-year-old former TOWIE star Kate approaches, the 40-year-old football icon partied with 11 close pals in the Spanish city.

Rio and his friends attended Pop That Pool, a weekly pool party at Go Beach Club in Barcelona where hundreds of bikini-clad ladies dance and drink.

Kate was there too, as Rio and his friends used an inflatable doll to keep her close.

Rio and Kate got engaged in November last year in Dubai on a romantic family vacation.Rio proposed and the Towie star said yes, joined by Rio’s three children.

Rio was married to Rebecca Ellison, his children’s mother, who died of cаncer at 34 in May 2015.
