On Tuesday night, the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers met, and LeBron James made history.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is no stranger to making history, and he did so again when the Lakers hosted the Phoenix Suns in the NBA In-Season Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday night.
From Anthony Gharib on Twitter/X:
“LeBron James is the first #Lakers player with 20 points, 10 assists, and 5 steals in a game since Kobe Bryant against the Clippers in Nov. 2004, per @ESPNStatsInfo. LeBron also becomes the oldest player with 5 steals in a game since the stat became official in 1973-74.”
In another thrilling showdown against Kevin Durant, LeBron James concluded the game with an impressive stat line of 31 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, and five steals.
“One of the greatest to ever play this game. We have had so many matchups throughout our career,” James said earlier this season on playing Durant.
“We had an opportunity to play on an Olympic team as well. We both have made our mark on history in this game. It is always special to share the floor with him. Whether it is during the summertime or throughout our career going against each other throughout the regular season or postseason. Absolutely talented guy and one of the best basketball players to ever play this game. It is always an honor to play against him.”
