Most people would do that, but NBA writer Michael C. Wright doesn’t seem to be one of them. Jokic missed a career-high 23 shots and only made 9 of 32 shots from the field that night. Wright moved Jokic to second place on his MVP ladder. The material is being promoted on the league’s official account.

Are you sure? This past week, Jokic had the most points, boards, and assists in the NBA. He was the best in every single important statistics area. The show he’s putting on has never been seen before. Also, even though it was a bad night, he had a triple-double against the Clippers.

We all know that the Jokic and Joel Embiid MVP talk went off the rocks last year, and it looks like it might happen again. Over the course of the season, Embiid has missed seven shots and Jokic has missed four. But once more, it seems like one bad night is more important than the whole body of work.
