LEBRON James said his son Bronny’s cardiac arrest recovery changed his view on the value of little things.
The 38-year-old NBA great became upset when questioned about pointing at Bronny during the Lakers’ 106-103 triumph against the Suns on Tuesday.
LeBron James got upset talking about pointing to his kid Bronny in the fans during Tuesday’s win against the Phoenix Suns.
Bronny is set to make his USC basketball debut shortly after being medically cleared.
Bronny, 19, witnessed his dad lead the Lakers to the In-Season Tournament semifinals at Crypto.com Arena.
LeBron pointed toward the USC guard after scoring a massive 3 in the fourth quarter.
The 19-time NBA All-Star said it meant everything to see his kid support him in a big game after having a heart crisis in the summer.
“It’s Bronny, period, not just Bronny at a game,” the Lakers forward remarked.
“To point at him and see him smiling and living.
“Having that time with my kid knowing what occurred earlier in the summer is that easy.
“Having that—I didn’t take it for granted before—puts everything in perspective. That’s it.
Bronny is medically cleared to play for USC.
“Bronny will have a final evaluation with USC staff this week, resume practice next week, and return to games soon after,” the James family announced last week.
The 6-foot-4 guard has been doing no-contact exercises in practice to get back in shape.
“I think he’s on the path to being ready to play very quickly,” Trojans coach Andy Enfield told ESPN this week.
If Bronny’s USC debut clashes with a Lakers game, James may miss it.
“Whenever he’s cleared and ready for his first game, I’ve told my teammates that if they play on the same day we’re playing, I’ll catch them again,” the NBA player told USA Today on November 30.
Favoring family above anything else. I’ll witness Bronny’s first game when he’s cleared.”
