Manchester United beаt Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League. Scott McTominay was their best player.
Erik ten Hag’s team looked great from the start after a terrible game against Newcastle. Their hard work paid off when McTominay scored with a great finish in the 19th minute. That made up for Bruno Fernandes’ missed penalty at the beginning of the game, but both teams had a lot of chances, and Cole Palmer scored a goal for Chelsea before halftime.
By putting his head on Alejandro Garnacho’s pass, McTominay gave his team a 2-1 lead in the second half. A VAR check showed that the goal was valid. Samuel Luckhurst, who is our top United writer, was in the press box, and these are his ratings of the players.
Andre Onana
Denied Nicolas Jackson but could not get across to Cole Palmer’s goal. Had little else to do against Chelsea’s flaky forwards. 6
Diogo Dalot
Proactive in аttаck but his end product was often lacking and United focused on their left-hand side after half time. 6
Harry Maguire
Lacked a sufficient shield amid the Chelsea counter-attacks in the first half. Made some good interventions in the second and brought the ball out for Scott McTominay’s second goal. 8
Victor Lindelof
On the back foot against Chelsea’s breakaways and his return to the team ended at half-time as he made way for Sergio Reguilon. 5
Luke Shaw
Created the first chance of the night for Rasmus Hojlund and collaborated well with Alejandro Garnacho. Moved to centre half for the second half. 8
Sofyan Amrabat
Probably his best league performance for United, though they were still too gettable when Chelsea broke as he pressed eagerly. A recall that was vindicated. 7
Scott McTominay
Took his goal expertly, squandered an easier chance at 1-0 and scored again to become United’s top scorer. 8
Antony
Sharpened the аttаck and won the penalty that Bruno Fernandes had saved and his body language was much better. 7
Bruno Fernandes
Creative before and after his penalty was saved, fashioning some of United’s best chances. One of his most consistent performances of the season. 7
Alejandro Garnacho
A constant threаt and contributed to attacks in the first half before a second-half improvement led to him crossing for McTominay. 8
Rasmus Hojlund
Drew the first save of the night from Robert Sanchez and gave United a presence they lacked at Newcastle. 6
Subs
Sergio Reguilon
Conversed regularly with Erik ten Hag as he collaborated with Garnacho. United targeted Chelsea’s right-hand side and it worked. 7
Marcus Rashford

Manager
Learnt from his mistakes at the weekend by picking motivated forwards in a more balanced team. United adjusted to Reguilon’s arrival with ease. 7
