LeBron James scored 15 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, and the Lakers won the spot by virtue of their victory.
Austin Reaves scored 20 points and Anthony Davis had 27 points and 15 rebounds for the top-seeded Lakers, who will play New Orleans on Thursday in Las Vegas. The Lakers will get their next game against New Orleans.
In the final minutes of the game, James not only had a remarkable shooting effort but also racked up 11 assists, eight rebounds, and five steals. The senior player, who is 21 years old, scored 15 of the first 19 points scored by the Lakers in the final quarter. He also assisted on the other two baskets scored by his teammates as Los Angeles continued to strengthen their lead.
However, Kevin Durant was unable to make a three-point shot at the buzzer, despite the fact that he scored 31 points for the Suns. Prior to suffering its third defeat to Los Angeles already this season, Phoenix had won eight of their previous ten games by that point.
