Bayern boss speaks out about Thomas Muller’s future

Sharing with BILD TV, Bayern Munich CEO Herbert Hainer hopes Thomas Muller will soon extend his contract.

After nearly 20 years of dedication to Bayern Munich, Thomas Muller can be considered one of the club’s contemporary legends. At the age of 34, although his playing time is limited, the German player still plays an important role in the Allianz Arena home team’s dressing room.

 Mr. Herbert Hainer hopes that Thomas Muller will soon extend his contract.

The current contract between him and the defending Bundesliga champions will end in June 2024. However, according to what Mr. Herbert Hainer, CEO of Bayern Munich, shared with BILD TV, both sides will soon renew the contract. Even Thomas Muller can retire in the German team’s shirt.

“ Thomas (Muller) is an absolute symbol of Bayern Munich and a player of great merit here. We all hope he finishes his career at the club. We are negotiating, I am optimistic and hope he  will  stay with us .

“ I think Thomas (Muller) knows what he has at Bayern Munich and we know what we have in him. Like I said, I hope he will retire here and take on another role at the club after retirement because he is a legend here ,” he added.
