Oh my goodness, Tyrese Hamilton Three clutches and One! Celtics have been eliminated in-season tournament

Boston Celtics are defeated by the Indiana Pacers to go to the In-Season Tournament Semifinals.

The Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers squared off in the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament Quarterfinal on Monday night. Everyone in the arena, players and spectators alike, was obviously excited. It was not your average season-opening match.
It was a regular season game with bracket implications on top of that. Both teams wanted to head to Las Vegas for the Semifinals later this week. The audience was significantly more interested than it would be at a typical December game, so momentum and a strong start were going to be important. After two minutes, Indiana led 7–4. They seemed ready for the big stage straight away after defeating the Boston Celtics about a month ago.

The supporters built anxiety each time a three was made. Every time the Pacers were fouled, there were boos. It had the feel of a big game and improved every point. The first TV timeout was called with less than seven minutes left in the first quarter with Indiana leading 14–9.Myles Turner was playing both ends well early on. Following Turner’s exit from the game, the Celtics’ second unit outperformed Indiana’s, leading to a mini-run.

The Celtics took the lead with around 2.5 minutes left in the first quarter. Their best self appeared.

Boston had a 24-point lead at the end of the first quarter. This Pacers game featured a slower tempo than the others. Boston was imposing its design, but people still liked blue and gold.Bennedict Mathurin’s three-pointer gave Indiana the lead back in the second quarter. In a game like this, his ability to maintain attention from the start was essential for younger players.

For the next five minutes, there was back-and-forth footwork. Luke Kornet made some important plays for the Celtics, but the Pacers had the answers. Just before the halfway mark of the second quarter, there was a halt. Boston was leading 36–35 at that point.

No one was able to take the lead during the first half. Because it took a lot of work for each team to score points, the game was interesting. With just over two minutes left in the half, the largest lead for either team was only six points.

With only a few seconds left in the first half, Boston finally found some momentum. They then went on a 12-0 run, a notable outburst for this game, to increase their lead. As a result, the Celtics lead by 55 to 48 at the half.

Jayson Tatum, who had 12 points, picked up steam towards the end of the half. Bruce Brown lead the Pacers with nine. With a performance, Tyrese Haliburton started the second half. The Pacers’ top point guard scored eight points in the opening four minutes of the third quarter, more than he had in the first half. The Cetlics advantage was now down to just one.

He obviously sensed something when there was the initial silence in the frame and motioned for the crowd to get more animated. Both the volume and the intensity rose in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Three quarters of the way through, the score was tied at 71. A few seconds later, Haliburton scored to give the Pacers the advantage.

The game was really competitive. The Pacers kept up their dominant play as the third quarter progressed. With the crowd’s backing, they kept scoring as they went forward.

They led by eleven with just over a minute left in the quarter.Boston rallied and cut the lead to seven before the session was out, but Indiana had taken the lead again. They were playing outstanding defense as they took the lead back in the third quarter, defeating the Celtics 37–23. Being the home team carried considerable significance.

It was now time for the Celtics to win, as they closed the gap to two points at 85-83. Haliburton was back in for the Pacers even though Boston was applying pressure to Indiana with their powerful defense. That’s what allowed them to catch up.

But the Pacers knew the answers, and they were up seven points once more in a matter of minutes. Because of the increased atmosphere surrounding the game, every shot and every run felt significant for both sides.

The Celtics could not be avoided. They are invincible against a few quick runs, and there’s a good reason why they lead the NBA in both record and net rating. They held Indiana tight for a few possessions before they knotted the score once more with about six minutes left.
That led to more back-and-forth play.

Boston regained the lead at 99-98, but a three-pointer by Haliburton gave the Pacers the lead a few seconds later. This one was planned to include a wire.
With one minute and thirty-three seconds remaining, Tyrese Haliburton tied the game with a three-pointer. He drilled it and then fouled it. After that, Indiana never gave up the lead.
They won 119–111 after holding on for the final 93 seconds. In the second half, they accomplished the mission with remarkable skill.

It was Haliburton’s first triple double of the year. In the end, he had 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists. Turner finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The winner of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks quarterfinal game will take on the Pacers on Thursday.
