Most people agree that Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers of all time.
Many believe that Durant has the greatest scoring ability of any player in league history.
Even if Durant’s performance against the Denver Nuggets was below average, he yet accomplished a noteworthy feat in the setback.
In the NBA’s all-time scoring list, Durant moved up to the tenth slot, surpassing NBA veteran Moses Malone.
Durant responded to the accomplishment with a single phrase after the game, as Duane Rankin on Twitter disclosed.
Kevin Durant after realizing that he had passed Moses Malone in the first half on the bucket below: “Yep.”
In the Suns’ 111-119 defeat to the Nuggets, Kevin Durant wasn’t his typical overpowering self.
Even though the seasoned forward finished the game with 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 11 assists, he barely made the cut.
After all, in the second half against the Nuggets, Durant was unable to block a single shot.
During the latter two quarters of the game, Durant shot a disgraceful 0 out of 10.
Luckily, Durant had already topped Moses Malone in the first half of the rankings.
In relation to that, Durant just needed 17 points to secure the tenth position on the list; however, given that he ultimately scored 30, he narrowed the deficit to secure the ninth position.
In his NBA career, Durant has already scored 27,423 points.
The best player for the Phoenix Suns has a potential to score more than 30,000 points in his career since he is still performing at a high level.
If Durant does really score more than 30,000 points, he will just be the sixth player in NBA history to accomplish that mark.
