Trayce Thompson, an outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the brother of Klay Thompson, a star player for the Golden State Warriors, is currently on his way out of the state of California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made the announcement on Friday that they will be moving pitcher Nick Nastrini, pitcher Jordan Leasure, and pitcher Nick Nastrini to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for starter Lance Lynn and reliever Joe Kelly. Thomas Thompson will also be included in the deal.

Thompson was selected by the White Sox in the second round of the draft in 2009, and he made his debut with the team in the major leagues in the year 2015. Ever since then, he has been a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland Athletics, among other Major League Baseball teams.

This 32-year-old player has been a resident of Los Angeles for the past season and a half, despite the fact that he has had a difficult time in 2023. During this season, he has played 36 games for the Dodgers and has been slashing.You have five home runs and 14 RBI while hitting 155/.310/.366.

According to Sarah Morris of Inside the Dodgers, Thompson has been placed on the injured list since June 4 due to an oblique issue. He was just transferred to the spring training camp in Arizona to continue his recovery.

Andrew Benintendi, Luis Robert Jr., Oscar Colás, Eloy Jiménez, and Gavin Sheets are some of the other players who play in the outfield for the Chicago Cubs. It is not known when Thompson will return from the disabled list or what his position will be in the team.

Although they are now in fourth place in the American League Central with a record of 41-63, the White Sox are already a significant distance from a playoff spot. With that being stated, it is feasible that he will be given a significant amount of playing time once he has recovered from his injury.

While all is going on, the Dodgers are hopeful that the signing of Lynn and Kelly will allow them to compete for a World Series championship.
