At the top of the Billboard charts, Travis Kelce has joined pop superstar-turned-significant-other Taylor Swift.
Two weeks after its release, “The Guy on the Chiefs'” duet song with brother Jason Kelce, “Fairytale Of Philadelphia,” has risen to the top of the Rock Digital Song Sales and Holiday Digital Song Sales charts, according to a Billboard report published on Tuesday.
The brothers’ rendition of “Fairytale of New York,” a song by The Pogues from the 1980s, is a duet hit that will be included on the upcoming charity Christmas CD of Eagles offensive linemen Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata. The album’s Instagram account describes it as “a tale of two brothers whose love for each other withstands the test of time.”
“I enjoyed that song. You know, that song was kind of lovely. It was fun for me to do. “The team, the guys, came out and spent some time with me in Kansas City, and we had a great time,” Travis stated in the podcast “New Heights,” which the brothers released on October 25.
“I’m not saying it was good by any means,” he continued. Simply put, they made it sound far better than what I had in mind when I left the studio. I thought, ‘I dunno, they might not even use this.'”
