The offensive partner of Cody Gakpo of the Reds, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, has called him a “fantastic guy.”

The Liverpool attacker gave the Reds media team an explanation of how he must adjust to play with whomever is on the front line.

Gakpo has made appearances for Liverpool this season in a number of roles. His roles have included left flank, center striker, and central midfielder.

The 24-year-old has also appeared for the Netherlands as a No. 10. It goes without saying that he is both skilled and adaptable.

Speaking to the Liverpool media team, Salah claimed that Gakpo is an excellent center forward.

“When Cody plays in that position (centre-forward) he’s a fantastic guy,” he said. “If you understand their game, your game is going to be easier.

“So I’m trying always to understand the other players’ games, so I know where I could be in that position with this player and with other players it’s different.

“Kostas and Robbo [are] completely different, Darwin and Cody are also different. So I have to adapt with the players who are going to play and who’s where.”

Liverpool, who signed Gakpo for £35 million late last year, beat off teams like Manchester United for his services. Gakpo has been a wonderful addition for Liverpool. He has many outstanding qualities and is adaptable.

He plays up top and reminds me a lot of Roberto Firmino.

Similar to the Brazilian, Gakpo excels at finishing and has shown success playing deep to connect players like Luiz Diaz and Salah with the attacking line.

Given that Klopp has Nunez and Gakpo, he has two excellent choices that should cover every eventuality when it comes to their opponent.
