Garnacho has been criticized for copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration

Some people have pointed out that Alejandro Garnacho has imitated the celebration style of the ‘Siu’ style. The goal that became a legend for Cristiano Ronaldo when he scored a bicycle kick goal against Everton over the weekend.

Since a long time ago, Garnacho has made it known that he has a deep affection for Cristiano Ronaldo. When he scored his first goal for Manchester United in the previous season, he imitated the renowned celebration that CR7 gives.

Garnacho gave a performance of the “Siu” after scoring during the match that took place over the weekend versus Everton. In the history of the Premier League, this will be remembered as one of the most memorable events of the season.

However, not everyone was pleased with the celebration that Garnacho had planned. Former Juventus player Arturo Vidal stated that Garnacho should “make his own name” and that it was inappropriate for him to mimic his idol. Vidal also stated that Garnacho should not imitate his idol.

According to Vidal, who was speaking via Twitch, “It’s good that he idolizes someone.” That is something I admire, but I believe that Garnacho needs to establish his own identity in the future.

Vidal continued by asking, “How was it possible to celebrate a goal and remember it?” It’s not clear to me, but let’s enjoy it in a different way.

Vidal is certainly pretty competent to remark about Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration because he has seen it so many times throughout his career. Vidal has faced Ronaldo on numerous occasions throughout his career of playing football.

Nevertheless, Vidal’s criticisms were not limited to Garnacho alone. In addition, he showed his appreciation by describing the young player for Manchester United as “a great player” and praising him for scoring “a great goal.”
