The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night on his return to Cleveland.

The Cavaliers honored the Los Angeles Lakers forward who broke the NBA lifetime points record in February by surpassing Hall of Famer and fellow Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

“Very special. I grew up 30 miles south of Akron and was drafted here, spent my first seven years here, and then came back for four more years and did some remarkable things the franchise had never seen “James stated. “When I [was] drafted, I said, I wаnted to [light] this place up like Vegas, so I feel I did a decent job of doing that while I was here for my 11 years.”

As James celebrated another milestone, the LeBron James Family Foundation unveiled LeBron James’ Home Court museum in Akron, Ohio, on Saturday. The NBA all-star’s life and career are on display at the museum. James took his Lakers teammates through the museum’s display.

A audiovisual experience will transport museumgoers to James’ childhood apartment in Akron’s Spring Hill neighborhood. The 20-year NBA veteran’s memorabilia will decorate the area.

As people tour the exhibit, James’ McDonald’s All-American jersey, worn in high school as he became America’s best talent, is on display. James’ all-white outfit from the 2003 draft, when his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers picked him first overall, is inside.

James fans will then follow the rising star from his Cavs days to his highly publicized move to the Miami Heat. Visitors may relive his South Beach, Cleveland, and Los Angeles championships through multimedia and game-worn footwear and gear.

James will show guests his charitable work off the court. The exhibit will trаce his foundation’s growth from a 2009 Bike-A-thon to his 2018 I PROMISE education program.

The Lebron James Family Foundation says all ticket profits will go to I PROMISE children, parents, instructors, and family members.
