Before the NBA season opening between the Los Angeles Lakers and the reigning champion Denver Nuggets, LeBron James donned an eye-catching Louis Vuitton attire costing more than $28,000.
According to TMZ, James was sporting a $5,000 damoflage tweed stylish collarless jacket, $1,250 trousers, and $1,220 LV checker derby boots before the start of his 21st season.
The suit also included a Speedy Bandouliere 40 worth $11,000, and the briefcase ‘President’ he was clutching was worth another $9,500.
The shirt and briefcase from the ensemble were included in Pharrell’s men’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection for Louis Vuitton.
Aside from James’ king-sized wardrobe, the Lakers left a lot to be desired in a 119-107 defeat to the Nuggets.
James played 29 minutes and finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
Following the game, his head coach, Darvin Ham, said that James’ minutes will most likely stay around that figure in the future, however this might change depending on how the season progresses.
If the Lakers stick to their plan, James will have played the fewest minutes on average in his career.
Given James’ history of ailments, the reduced playing time may be a strategy to keep him healthy for the rest of the season and into the future.
James has always expressed a desire to play in the NBA alongside his oldest son, Bronny James, and this appears more likely with each passing year.
Bronny is a freshman at USC who will be eligible to play in the NBA next season.
According to recent statements from his wife Savannah in a Beats marketing campaign, James may now be contemplating extending his career even further to play alongside his younger son Bryce as well.
