Klay Thompson Reveals sʜᴏᴄᴋɪɴɢ Story About Steph Curry

After winning four titles together, one might imagine Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were best friends from the start, but this is not the case. They barely spoke to one another throughout their first two seasons with the Warriors.

Klay Thompson revealed stunning insights about his relationship with Steph Curry when appearing as a guest on Podcast P with Paul George.

To be honest, Thompson confessed, “I don’t think Steph and I spoke at all the first year.” “Steph only played in about 20 games that year, and I sat on the bench for the first 30.” We didn’t have a lot of communication. I was completely silent.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry didn’t become friends until their third season, when they both joined Team USA. The event was inspired by golf, one of Steph Curry’s favorite sports.

“Our relationship didn’t really build until our third year when we played for that Team USA,” Thompson told ESPN. “We finally hung out off the court because we couldn’t think of anything else to do, and where were we?” We had nothing else to do in Canary Islands, so we played golf. On the golf course, we finally got to know each other. Dominique Wilkins and Clyde Drexler were our teammates. It was a lot of fun playing with them… That was the first time Steph and I truly spoke to each other.”

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson look to be one person at times. They look to move as a unified unit on the court, completely in sync. As Klay Thompson’s story indicates, all relationships take time to grow.
