Nuggets' Nikola Jokic hilariously calls out Michael Malone after extension

After guiding the Denver Nuggets to a Larry O’Brien trophy, Michael Malone received a well-deserved reward. The team’s inability to achieve the pinnacle of basketball greatness as a franchise has undoubtedly heightened their admiration for their strategic mastermind. However, just before facing the formidable Orlando Magic led by Paolo Banchero, Nikola Jokic shared his thoughts about his head coach, as reported by Altitude TV.

“He doesn’t talk to the players anymore. He changed a little bit but it’s normal, that’s what money does to people. But, we are going to figure it out,” was the hilarious call out by Nikola Jokic that would have surely had Michael Malone laughing.

Together with Jamal Murray, this trio has forged the most formidable offense in basketball. The Nuggets are currently vying for the top spot in the Western Conference, much like the previous year, although the competition is more challenging this time around. Jokic, Murray, and Malone now face formidable teams like the stacked Boston Celtics, the exceptionally talented duo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and the revamped Los Angeles Clippers, among others.

However, before pursuing these ambitious goals, they must first contend with the Orlando Magic. The two teams boast nearly identical records, with just one loss setting them apart. This parity is largely attributed to the breakout performances of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Yet, this formidable challenge may prove to be no match for one of the newly highest-paid coaches in the basketball realm.
