Jimmy Butler came home for a two-game mini-series with the Chicago Bulls with some free time. Between games on Saturday and Monday night, the reigning Eastern Conference champion flew to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, like any NBA player!
To clarify, the trip was to encourage young teammate Nikola Jovic, not Lake Winnebago. The forward played for the Miami Heat’s G-League club, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, against the Wisconsin Herd. The Bucks’ G-League affiliate plays in Oshkosh, 87 miles north of Milwaukee.
Butler posted highlights from his incredible trip on Instagram, and ClutchPoints put them together in the video below. The former Marquette star rides the Herd bus to the big man and watches the game in a half-empty arena.
Butler failing at a clаw machine at “Parker John’s BBQ & Pizza” is not shown in that film. Visiting his Instagram early should let you see the stories here.
Who can’t love him? Man of the people and model teammate! Butler’s trip to Oshkosh was made more memorable by Jovic’s 26 points in the Herd’s 123-121 win.
