However, as of late, his contributions have started to dry up, and the chance of making his temporary stay a permanent one is looking less and less possible, given the tremendous demands that Atletico Madrid has placed on him.

According to MARCA, Atletico Madrid would negotiate with Barcelona for a payment of at least seventy to eighty million euros in order to secure the permanent sale of Joao Felix.

The Rojiblancos do not have a positive outlook on Felix’s comeback because the Portuguese player had previously fallen out of favor with boss Diego Simeone.

Nevertheless, Atletico Madrid wants to set a price that will help them recover part of the money that they spent for him in 2019, when they paid Benfica a grand total of 126 million euros by way of a transfer fee.

Despite the fact that the Spanish club acknowledges that the signing was a mistake, and that waves of unreliability continue to hold sway, they are not willing to set a cheap price for him in the market just yet.
