Following a remarkable display with 37 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in the Lakers’ 105-104 victory against the Rockets, LeBron James was questioned about his exceptional 60% shooting from the field in the month of November.
While James attributed his performance to just being “in a really good groove right now,” he also mentioned that he’s injured and feeling sick, as two separate issues. “I don’t feel that great right now..dealing with a couple injuries.. little under the weather right now… just trusting the work and the competition gets me going…if I’m in the lineup I have to produce – no ifs, ands, or buts, or excuses… even if your body’s not feeling great…[you got to] get your mind right.”
The nature of LeBron James’ current issues appears somewhat ambiguous. While he recently missed a game and some playing time in another due to a calf contusion last week, the lingering effects of the injury don’t seem to be immediately evident. Although there are no additional entries on the injury report, considering his age and the physically demanding style of play he employs, it’s plausible that he may be contending with minor ailments across various parts of his body.
As for his illness, the specifics remain unclear, but it could be attributed to external factors such as allergies or weather changes. In such cases, it can be assumed that the illness will likely subside relatively quickly. Monitoring the injury report may provide clarity, but judging by his on-court performance and overall demeanor, it would be surprising if he were to miss any playing time unless a new injury arises.
