LeBron James Made NBA History In Rockets-Lakers Game

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will play the Houston Rockets in California.

During the game, LeBron James moved up the all-time steals list, creating NBA history. 

James moved up to eighth place on the list with 2,205 career steals as of tonight, surpassing Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler’s 2,207.

The next player James will pass along is six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen (2,307). 

Prior to the evening, James had averaged 25.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.6 steals, and 39.7% three-point shooting and 57.2% field goal percentage over his previous 12 games. 

The Lakers are currently seventh in the Western Conference with a 7-6 record after 13 games. The Portland Trail Blazers were the team they most recently defeated, 107-75. 

Following the Rockets, they will take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, California. 

James, who is currently ranked among the top ten players in the NBA, will likely participate in his 20th All-Star Game in a row. 

Currently in his 21st NBA season, he has won four NBA championships (six of those with the Lakers). 

Over 1,433 regular season games, James has averaged 27.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. In addition, he shoots 34.5% from three-point range and 50.5% from the field.
