Man Utd received bad news from Onana and Rashford

Marcus Rashford, a striker for Manchester United, suffered an injury during England’s 2-0 victory against Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. This result did not make Manchester United happy.

After colliding with his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold during the second half of the Group C Euro 2024 qualifying match between England and Malta on the evening of November 17, Marcus Rashford was substituted out of the game. 

It is not known how severe the injury was sustained by the striker for Manchester United; nonetheless, Cole Palmer of Chelsea was promptly brought in to replace him.

The Old Trafford staff was even more concerned when, during another match that took place at FIFA Days in November, goalkeeper Andre Onana of the Cameroon squad, who was playing against Mauritius in the qualifying round of the World Cup 2026 Africa area, was forced to leave the field in the 80th minute with the assistance of the medical team.

The injuries sustained by Rashford and Onana will be a potential source of concern for coach Erik Ten Hag, who is now unable to utilize the services of other pillars owing to ailments. These pillars include Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Rasmus Hojlund.
