Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal won ‘The Youngest’ award at Golden Boy 2023

Due to the fact that Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid was the recipient of the Golden Boy Award this year, Barcelona was unable to complete a triple trick of Golden Boy Award victories, which would have been achieved by Pedri and Gavi in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

But the Blaugrana did not go home empty-handed at the Golden Boy Awards; the award for “The Youngest” was given to Lamine Yamal, a young prodigy who was recognized for his outstanding performance.

“The Youngest” is the title given to the European Golden Boy, which honors the youngest football player in the history of the award to ever make it onto the platform.

As a result of his achievements with Barcelona and the Spanish national team, Yamal was selected as the recipient of the honor. He was just 16 years old when he made it onto the final list of nominees for the Golden Boy in the first place.

Having made his senior breakthrough towards the end of the last season, Yamal has established himself as a first-team regular under Xavi and has even scored his first goal for Barça.

The teenage winger has also broken into the Spanish national team and went on to score two goals in just three matches.

It is incredible to think that Yamal could be nominated for the Golden Boy for the next four editions and it is only natural to think that the teenager will win it in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Barcelona Femeni superstar Aitana Bonmati won the Golden Player Woman Award for 2023.
