Alejandro Garnacho and Fred Unannouncedly Visit Loreto High School Students

After the 2022–23 season, Manchester United players Alejandro Garnacho and Fred visited Loreto High School Chorlton, a Manchester United Foundation-supported school.

Garnacho and Fred visited with Loreto staff, notably Romone, the Foundation’s High School Partnership officer, before teaching a variety of classes to excited pupils. Alejandro had a Spanish lesson before joining Fred for a library Q&A with sports executives.

After that, they played football and girls’ rounders outside for PE, which the students enjoyed. The players spoke to around 100 students and teachers for over an hour.’

On his first formal school trip with the club, Garnacho told ManUtd.com: “I really enjoyed meeting everyone on my first visit to a Foundation school and learning more about their important community programs.” I enjoyed visiting the Spanish class and telling them how much immersion has improved my language skills.

Fred enjoyed chatting to local kids during his PFA Community Champion duty. He said, “I’ve enjoyed my time at Loreto today. Getting to know the kids and supporting the Foundation was invaluable.

“Seeing kids ask lots of questions and be confident on the field was encouraging. I hope our presence today inspires them to keep going.
