The NBA decided to punish Draymond Green, striker of the Golden State Warriors, who will be banned from playing for 5 matches

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has claimed that they considered Green’s history of ‘unsportsmanlike behavior’ when making their decision regarding his suspension, which will start on Thursday.

Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has been suspended for five games without pay after the NBA’s Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations, Joe Dumars, made the announcement today. Green was suspended for escalating an on-court altercation and for forcibly grabbing Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert around the neck in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner. Green’s actions were deemed to be both unsportsmanlike and dangerous. Green is responsible for the incident because he grabbed Gobert around the neck in an unsportsmanlike and potentially dangerous manner.

Green’s history of participating in behavior that is damaging to sportsmanship is one of the factors that will be considered when determining the severity of his punishment.

In addition, the following players have been penalized for their roles in the incident: Jaden McDaniels of the Timberwolves, Klay Thompson of the Warriors, and Rudy Gobert of the Warriors. Each player has been fined $25,000. The altercation started when Thompson and McDaniels got mixed up and started tugging and pulling at one another’s jerseys, and it continued when Gobert entered the situation and wrapped up Thompson.

The incident began when Thompson and McDaniels got tangled together. Because of their participation in the incident, each of the four players has been given a penalty.

Green was awarded a Flagrant Foul 2 and was thrown out of the game, while Thompson and McDaniels were each given a Technical Foul and tossed out of the game respectively. Green was the only player to receive a Flagrant Foul 2.

At the Chase Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 14, 2018, the occurrence took place with 10 minutes and 17 seconds remaining in the first quarter of the Timberwolves’ 104-101 victory over the Warriors.

Green will begin serving the first game of his five-game suspension during the Warriors’ matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the 16th of November. This matchup will take place at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
