A report from SPORT claims that Barcelona are interested in acquiring Mats Wieffer from Feyenoord and have their sights set on the player.

The player, who is currently 23 years old, has been on Barcelona’s radar for some time. The club has conducted many scouting missions on him, and they are very pleased with the findings they have received.

Wieffer is able to play both the no. 6 position and a more advanced role as an interior, which contributes to his reputation as a very technically capable player. In addition to his physical prowess, he stands close to 1.9 meters tall and can give virtually any opponent a run for their money in the middle of the park.

Due to the fact that the Dutchman has renewed his contract all the way until 2027, it will be challenging for him to negotiate.
