According to reports from Mirror (UK), Lionel Messi has communicated to David Beckham his wish to sign Ivan Rakitic for the following season in order to play for Barcelona.

Rakitic is a player that Inter Miami could be interested in signing during the upcoming summer. Messi has played with the Croatian player for a significant portion of his career at Barcelona. During that time period, the duo was victorious in five La Liga competitions and one Champions League match.

Messi approached Beckham with a request to get Rakitic on board.
