During his twelve years with Manchester United, De Gea won the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, and League Cup on two separate occasions.

He took home the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year trophy four times in his career, including three straight years (2014–2016).

During his stint at Old Trafford, he broke the record for the most appearances by a goalkeeper for Man Utd with 545 in all, overtaking Alex Stepney.

De Gea has continued to support his old teammates even after leaving the club, chiming in on the discussion over whether or not midfielder Bruno Fernandes should remain captain.

Former Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov told SunSport in an exclusive interview that he is considering following De Gea into a new career in eSports.

Real Betis of Spain was rumored to be interested in signing him, however Real Betis manager Manuel Pelligrini denied the reports.
