On Monday, LeBron James surprised Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase and Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray with a unique gift. The NFL players received Fruity Pebbles-themed cleats inspired by the iconic Nike LeBron 4 shoes from 2006. Chase shared his excitement, unveiling the special delivery in an unboxing video on his Instagram story.
“These clean as hell,” Chase said while unboxing the cleats on his Instagram story. “Good looks. Appreciate you, LeBron.”
The gear was packaged with an illustration of James dunking over Fred Flintstone, the main character of “The Flintstones.”
“Adding to the surprise, Ja’Marr Chase and Kyler Murray also received custom Fruity Pebbles cereal boxes: ‘Ja’Marr Pebbles’ featuring Chase in the Bengals’ all-white uniform and ‘Kyler Pebbles’ showcasing Murray in a similar icy white attire.
The upcoming Nike LeBron 4 Vapor Edge cleats, slated for a spring 2024 release, draw inspiration from the PE (Player Edition) versions of James’ basketball shoes from 2006, originally influenced by his beloved childhood cereal, Fruity Pebbles.
LeBron James’ foray into football-related footwear isn’t new. Recently, USC Trojans’ quarterback Caleb Williams donned a pair of Nike LeBron 4 cleats during a game against the Colorado Buffaloes. Additionally, James previously gifted Ohio State Buckeyes’ cleats, inspired by the Nike LeBron 4 Graffiti colorways, for their showdown against the Penn State Nittany Lions.”
